We ordered from our favourite Italian resto. We shared an order of Caesar salad and a plate of spaghetti carbonara. There was enough carbonara that we have leftovers, even that was supposedly a serving for one person. It was delicious. We ate too much.
I'm enjoying my local farm market's yummy tomatoes as of late. Salads, tomato sandwiches, etc. And tonight I'm having them in a wrap with a few chicken wings on the side.
Tonight was Fried Rice with sugar snap Peas, bulk pork sausage, diced bratwurst, yellow summer squash, seasoned with oyster sauce, and Kikkoman Light Soy Sauce.. Made a watermelon/lemon slushy that was refreshing, and cut the savory umami bomb of fried rice. It was tasty, and filling, with all of the veggies still having a little crunch to them. Best of all, with no one else home, I could belch when I needed to. A pint and a quarter of slushy will do that to you.
I had a nagging headache yesterday, so DH ordered dinner from one of our favorite places - a Middle Eastern restaurant. He got a lamb kebab platter with rice pilaf, hummus and pita bread, which was plenty to share. We also had a couple stuffed grape leaves from the Mediterranean grocery store. They're surprisingly good for canned food [emoji39] They have a nice lemony flavor.
