3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
dash salt
6 cups sliced pared tart apples

1. Combine the first 4 ingredients and pour over apple slices.
Stir together in a large bowl

2. Prepare crumb topping:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar

Cut butter into flour and sugar until you have a crumb mix

3. Pour apple mixture into an un-baked nine-inch pie curst.
Top with crumb mixture.

4. Bake at 400 for 40-50 minutes. If crust and topping begin to
get too dark, turn temperature to 375

Thanks for your recipe, but I normally add chives to my crumbles. Have you ever tried this? Also, I live in the UK - are the cup sizes the same? Thanks.

I have never tried chives in Apple Crumb pie. An American cup measure equals 8 onzes.
