would it be ok to make soup 3 days ahead ?

Another question about this french onion soup ... I'm gonna be busy on saturday ( the day I need the soup ) and its weds. could I make the soup today and store it in the fridge without any problems ?
 
If you make the soup today and add the bread and cheese and do the broiling on Saturday, you should have no problems.
 
Am just finishing off a batch of French onion soup and yes, we made the soup part a few days before and then, as Andy M. said, added the baguette slices and cheese when we were ready to finish the dish.

Like to make the soup starting with beef bones to make a stock and then add beef to give it more flavor.

It takes a while but is always something we look forward to.
