When you get an email of a photo, not attachment, but, part of the email, how the heck can you convert it to a jpg or gif. It just says Save As All files type. I have a photo that is just adorable and want to share it here.

Did you try to right click on it and save it in a file somewhere?

yes, but, that's what I was trying to say and it didn't come out right, it doesn't give you a choice of file types. It will only save as a file type.

One easy was is once it is saved, just change the file name. For instance if you have a photo on your desktop and the file name is photo.jpg and you want to change it to a .gif format then jsut rename it photo.gif

that's the way I would do it - rename.....
and that is waht I will do soon.... have roundabout 266 pics to resize and rename....

Don't be surprised if you get a warning message pop up when you do that. It might say something about making the file unstable or something. Don't worry about it. And if for any reason it doesn't work you can just change the file name back to the original and it will work again.
