Corn on the cob

I peel the husk back from the corn, remove silks and rinse well. (wet the husks too). Dry the corn with a paper towel. Then season as you desire. I like to rub the corn with butter and sprinkle with salt and lemon pepper. Fold the husks back up around the corn and wrap in foil. Roast in the oven for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn once after 15 minutes. It's good on the outdoor grill this way too.
 
We trim the silk and loose pieces of the husk and put the ears directly on the shelf of a 350F oven for 30 minutes. This tastes much better than boiling.
 
I've heard that you can cook whole ears of corn in the oven en papillote (in paper), which really intregues me, though I've not tried it yet. Foil is as brave as I've ever got :LOL:
