I am new to this site and just wanted to know the types of game, folks take and then eat. I love venison as well as wild turkey. But I am from a family that hunts and eats all sorts of wild game. If it is considered a game animal, I have probably eaten it,maybe some that some folks my not think of as game as well.:chef:

I love venison backstrap!! I also like other parts, just not sure what they are. LOL. Stew meat, sausage and steaks. Friends had it cut and wrapped, so, not familiar with the parts of the deer that is used for these.
I have been unfortunate to have eaten, rabbit and goat, without knowing it. I really don't remember what it tasted like either. It was probably 15 years ago.
I've tried boar meat. Don't care for it, too gamey for me

The only thing I miss about my ex-husband is the game he used to bring home.

Squirrels, deer, rabbits, ruffed grouse, turkey, elk. Even an ocassional turtle, woodchuck or raccoon.
