I guess this is the right place for this recipe because it calls for bacon.

Anyway here it is...

Green Bean Bundles

2 cans whole green beans
1 pkg bacon
1/2-1 cup brown sugar (to taste)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. butter

Heat oven to 350. Cut bacon into thirds. Save one can of the green bean juice. In a medium sauce pan combine the green bean juice, brown sugar, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and butter and cook on medium low heat until the sugar and butter is melted and everything is combined. Wrap about 5-6 green beans in each slice of bacon. (if needed, secure with a toothpick). Place the bundles in a baking dish and cover with the sauce. Bake for 20 minutes or until the bacon is crsip. The last 5 minutes I put the oven on broil so the bacon will crisp up faster.

This sounds great, but I don't particularly like canned green beans... what would be a good substitute for the "green bean juice"? chicken stock perhaps?

That's what I'd use. (chicken broth)

This sounds really good. Using fresh beans, should they be cooked a bit first?

That would be another good idea... as I said in another post - I always have problems with green beans that don't get cooked enough.
