What's the LEAST prepared you have been!

Cooks tend to be fairly ingenious in my experience.

I have in the past used two different sized metal bowls in lieu of a bundt tin (in was a success, although had ropey moments).

Tonight I made a cake in our corporate let, sifting flour through a tea strainer and whipping egg whites to soft peak with a fork.....:wacko:

I was wondering if any solutions anyone else had used in a tight spot would be useful to the rest of us when we find ourselves ill equipped? :chef:
 
I was making popovers for breakfast up north one morning and didn't realize my mom didn't have any muffin tins until after the batter was beaten ... I used a 9x9 pan to bake them off and other than being flattened during the slicing / serving, they were delicious!
