I made a big mess the other day on one of my burners on my stove. Melted a styrofoam plate on the hot burner and now I can't get the bits of styrofoam off. Does anyone have any suggestions to remove it? Thanks.

If it is electric, I'd scrape off as much as possible, then turn on the burner and the exhaust fan and let the residue burn off. You may want to light some candles to absorb the odor.

Ditto on letting it burn off - that's about all you can do. I melted a Tupperware marinating container on mine - it did burn off.

About all you can do is scrape off any excess you can ... then turn the exhaust fan on and crank the burner up to high and let it go until it quits smoking.
