This morning's disaster turned after school snack!

So I made my pie crust for Sweet Potato pie. Put in in the oven. Looked in on it 10 min later, it slid so far down the sides I couldn't possibly pour filling into it! I guess I need more laying over the sides.

Anyway I sprinkled cinnamon sugar on it, kept baking, and POOF!

Cinnamon Sorta Shortbread Cookies! :chef:

Back to the kitchen.......
 
I probably should have.... the kids and I will have it half gone before dinner at this rate! :pig:
 
My mother used to do that with the extra pie crust. I forgot about it until now. I think I will have to do that too.
 
My Dad did all the things like that that I remember. He cooked, he baked, he worked full time. My mom worked from home to take care of us, and he did most of the home things...... women's lib really musta taken over her in the 70's!!!!
