Problems with Apple iTunes store?

Hi, all. I didn't want to hijack the "new iPhone apps" with this question, so I started a new thread.

I have an iPod Touch. I went to download the new software for it, which includes a bunch of new apps, and the download page said I needed v. 7.7 of iTunes in order to use the new software. So I downloaded and upgraded and ever since then, I can't connect to the iTunes store. I get a message that says essentially "Can't connect to the store. Please check your Internet connection."

I can browse, chat, get the weather, etc., so there's nothing wrong with my connection. I think there's a problem with the new iTunes. Anyone else having a similar problem?
 
I have been able to get on without a problem. Can you access the app store from your iTouch?

I would try un-installing iTunes and then re-installing it and see if that helps.
