Costa Rican recipes

I would like to move to Costa Rica in about a year or two and I'm curious what are the most popular dishes there.

I know there's Google for this, but I would love if someone who actually lives (or lived) in CR told me what people usually eat there and how can I prepare those dishes.

The cuisine is really hard to define...there are a LOT of influences, but the so called national dish is beans and rice, but there are soooooooo many other awesome dishes it is hard to keep track of. The cuisine is very similar to El Salvadorian, imo.
