Looking for information on times needed to cook steaks on a flat pan broiler.

Hi b.gil - I hope this helps -

Doneness
Type of Steak........Thickness..........Rare............Medium
Filet Mignon...........1-¼” to 1-½”....12-14 min.....16-18 min.
New York Strip.......1”....................10-12 min.....12-14 min.
Ribeyes.................1”....................10-12 min.....12-14 min.
Porterhouse...........1”....................10-12 min.....12-14 min.
Top Sirloin.............1”....................10-12 min.....12-14 min.

Note: These times are for gas cooking. If cooking with electric, figure cooking time approximately 40% less. So, a 1" ribeye should take about 5-6 minutes total cooking time. Ovens can vary in temperature so you will have to really pay attention and make notes of any variancies you come across.

Preheat broiler, place rack approximately 4” from heat. For well done, add an additional 3-5 minutes. When cooking steaks turn once. Times listed are total cooking times so turn steaks half-way through these times.

Keep a box of salt close at hand for any unexpected flare-ups. Douse fire with salt. (I have done this, scraped salt off, and enjoyed the heck out of the steak anyway :D)
