What's the lunch wagon bringin' II

I love to hear what everyone is eating for lunch. It is my favorite meal of the day.

Today, I had PBJ sandwich with an Alaskan Amber Ale.

DampCharcoal 12-18-2004 10:20 PM

Leftover ribs and bakers. Might make some mac 'n' cheese, I'm a sucker for that stuff! :D

Erik 12-18-2004 11:43 PM

Open faced meatloaf stack, and roasted carrots

SierraCook 12-19-2004 03:04 PM

crewsk 12-19-2004 03:08 PM

I had hot & spicky chicken fingers, fried okra, pinto beans, & cornbread from a little resturant called Fat Cat's.

wasabi, what is a california roll, I lived there for 40 years and have no clue. I was going to make a funny comment but the no=no police would boot it. I will PM it so you can have a good laugh.

SierraCook 12-19-2004 10:10 PM

wasabi, I want your lunch.

Norgeskog, a California roll is a form of sushi. Basically, it is made like any sushi roll with nori, sushi rice, crabmeat, mayonnaise and avocado as the main ingredients. I not all that fond of sushi, but I love California rolls. I have also seen them made with shrimp.

Biscuits and Gravy!!!

SierraCook 12-19-2004 10:17 PM

Erik, I love biscuits and gravy. One of the local restaurants, The Roundup, makes the best biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are light and fluffy. The gravy is thick and creamy with hunks of sausage. Yum!! I just may have to get a togo order on my way to work in the morning.

Erik 12-19-2004 10:21 PM

Yeah...so good!!!!!

PA Baker 12-20-2004 10:16 AM

I think today will be a bread bowl of broccoli cheese soup. It's -10F here right now!

Thanks for the link, wasabi. My daughter, her fiance and I get together at my house and they love to come in the kitchen with me and cook, last time we made calzones. This would be a great thing for us to do, then my vegetarian daughter and her carnivorous mom and fiance could all be happy with the ingredients and making our own. Thanks. again, and which lunch was it that you wanted?

norgeskog, you are welcome for the link. Sorry, about the confusion it was me that wanted wasabi's lunch.

mudbug 12-21-2004 12:33 PM

SierraCook 12-26-2004 03:54 PM

Today, I am having a carton of vanilla bean yogurt and an avocado. Yum!!

PA Baker 12-27-2004 11:03 AM

Today, I'm meeting hubby for lunch at the local pizza joint by my office. He's off for the week so we're trying to do things we don't get to during a normal hectic week.

We'll probably both get their grilled chicken salads. They're huge and delicious!

SierraCook 12-27-2004 02:33 PM

Grilled ham and smoked gouda cheese sandwich sprinkled with some diced green onions.

I'll have either left over ham or chicken...

kyles 12-27-2004 04:47 PM

I had a rare roast beef sandwich with the innards of the leftover beef wellington from Chrissy day, it was lovely! Would have been better with horseradish cream, but a girl can't have everything!!!!

Erik 12-28-2004 12:26 AM

SierraCook 12-29-2004 03:12 PM

Tunafish sandwich, garlic dill pickle and cherry tomatoes

fried fish 01-06-2005 12:30 PM

I read your tuna sammich, sierra, and it looked good. I am having mine on toasted country wheat bread with a slice of red onion and some mustard. How do you make your tuna salad..with Miracle Whip or mayo. I just alittle bit of both with some fresh grated pepper, chopped celery, and just alittle dill relish. I also had a handful of fritos on the side and coffee.

crewsk 01-06-2005 12:40 PM

You must have read my mind fried fish, I was getting ready to resurrect this thread!

I'm having black eyed peas & cornbread that I had stashed away in the freezer for a rainy day.

buckytom 01-06-2005 12:42 PM

i'm having leftover pork brasciole, leftover breaded eggplant in tomato sauce, and whole wheat pasta (a really good brand of w.w. pasta called bionature. closest thing to regular pasta i've found), and a diet lipton's iced tea.

mudbug 01-06-2005 12:43 PM

I should eat up some of the taco soup I made for dinner last night, but I'm not in the mood. Guess I'd better get to the store and stock up a little.

Back later, all.

I've always had a way of doing that, eh?

crewsk 01-06-2005 12:58 PM

PA Baker 01-06-2005 01:07 PM

I wish I were having lunch at Crewsk's or Bucky's--both sound nice on a cold rainy day! Instead I'm having a turkey sandwich with tomato, romaine, and ranch dressing.

pdswife 01-06-2005 01:10 PM

I'm going to open a can of tomato soup, sit in front of the fire and watch the snow fall.
