My wife is turning 40 this weekend and I've been playing with Indian ideas all month. I'll be making food for 20+ people which will include Kofta, Saag, a hot and a mild curry, tomato chutney, mango chutney, Pakoras and dosas and parathas for scooping.

Here's one that turned out really well

That sounds amazing. BUT, is it some sort of illusion or is that the longest grain of rice I have ever seen??????

What a great sounding menu! Would love to see your recipe for tomato chutney.:)
I got the tomato chutney at manjulaskitchen.com. I would highly recommend it.

It's just regular basmati. Maybe I shouldn't have soaked it in Enzyte:ohmy:

I feel hungry after seeing this photo.

And your menu is too good, are you veg? or having mutton koftas?

I'm vegetarian, but I never really liked the taste of sheep anyway. I used to make kofta with ground beef, but now I make either veggie kofta or use tempeh. For this weekend, I'm making tempeh kofta in a hot tomato sauce.
