Fast, easy and very tasty.
Baked fruit with almond paste crust.
4 portions:

2 peaches ( or any other fruit of your choice. Canned fruit works very well)
A "tube" of Almond paste, keep cool in fridge.

Peel the peaches and cut in half. Place each piece in a ramekin ( or any other oven safe dish)
Use a cheese slicer and slice the almond paste in to thin slices, cover each piece of fruit with a slice. (or shred the paste and put 1-2 Tbsp on top of each dish)

Place in middle of oven,
350 degrees for 15 min or until the almond paste is golden brown and the fruit soft.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy!

this sounds so easy and lovely. Good for busy people like me.

would you believe my market does not have almond paste. will have to look somewhere else. i really want to make this

Yeah, finding the paste can be tricky. Another word for it is Marzipan.
You can also make your own!

Grind these 2 ingredients together::

1 cup of almonds ( you can scald the almonds and remove the "skin" or just grind them as they are)
1/2 cup sugar ( use powdered sugar if you like it smooth, regular sugar if you like it crunchy)

Then add a tsp of water at the time until you get a nice paste.

I use a small electric "chopper" appliance. Bought 2nd hand for $3.00..
Any kind of grinder should work. Maybe even a coffee grinder?
I hope this will help.
This dessert has become the most asked for dessert in our family and among our friends!
