TRUTH !!
The coat, which went on to achieve peaks of fashion success, was first worn by British soldiers during WWI.

Aargh! So close and yet so far with a couple of them! I got the ones in red:

2. North America--I knew this was most likely the answer but I still said Europe!

5. The visit to the stable where Jesus was by the Three Wise Men--I think I was on the right track with 12th day of Christmas, but still not right!
