Does anyone have a Scooba--can you use vinegar and water in it as the cleaning solution? What do you think of it? Do you also have an IRoomba?

I have a scooba. The directions say to only use the official scooba cleaning solution, which is safe for all floors, including sealed hardwood.
Does a decent job, but wont get heavy soiling up. I pre-spray those areas with
a general cleaner first, that works.
I have found that the batteries dont last very long if you dont use the scooba
regularly.
Have two Roombas, like them a lot. Great for pet hair if used regularly.

From what I was told when I got the IRoomba for my mom (who has a habit of unplugging the charging station) was that if one was going to leave it off its charger for 3 or more days, to remove the battery. I've had my IRoomba for +3 years and it is still going strong. How expensive is the official scooba cleaning solution? I have Shark steamers (several different models), but I have to drag them out and push them around...and, next time I go to MN, if my mom isn't using the IRoomba I bought her, it is coming home with me.
