Swimmin' with the fishes, large and small

Just a Dawg gone minute here..

I thought that Smelts were baby Sardines which eventually grow up to be Macarels..

And Sharks aren't Fish, they're like baby Dinasors!

and if you're eating Fresh Water smelts.. Man, we call those Minows, and use them as bait, to catch larger fish!

I sure love to eat shrimps, but I don't know what planet they come from..

Giggler,

Giant Prawns ( jumbo shrimps ) are quite plentiful here on the southern coast of Spain, Portugal and western Africa ... they come in several varieties too ... and are WILD & UNFROZEN ... the EU has a law, that they have to be put on Ice ... however, NOT frozen ...

Hope you had a lovely 4th,
Ciao, Margi.

In the Geeat Lakes, smelt are a small species of fish that are 7-9 inches long when fully grown. Very different from minnows.
