ISO help/tips smoking garlic

Can anyone advise me on the simplest way to smoke bulbs of Garlic please. I don't have a smoker which may give you all a bit of a challenge but if it is somehow possible it would be good because the flavor is so intense I just love it.

I can't imagine how to do this without some kind of tool to use. Here are a couple of inexpensive options.

Yes, That's a good idea thank you GG. However, I have discovered in the last 20mins or so that a friend of a friend has a smoker that they would be willing to lend me so there you go.........it's a funny ol' life isn't it?

We've had no issues with just wrapping some soaked wood chips in foil and putting them on a burner in the gas grill. Works great.

If you like roasted garlic, cut the bulbs in half, 1/4 cup olive oil and mix in liquid smoke to taste, drizzle the oil over garlic, then roast the garlic in the oven.

That's another yummie idea. Hope this topic has persuaded a few of you out there to try garlic like this. It is so worth it
