ISO cinnamon apple ring

So, I'm not sure how else to describe this other than it looked like a pampered chef taco or enchilada ring. It had a cinnamon glaze on top with a few apples stuck inside. It wasn't with crescent rolls, it was more of a fresh dough. Every time i try to google cinnamon apple ring or round it comes up with apple chips or fried apple rings. I wish I took a picture of what it looked like before everyone cut it. It was amazing! Anyone have a recipe something like this? Thanks for any help .

These are so easy to make. I know what I am going to be making for Christmas at my daughter's. A lot less work than an apple pie. And more fun to eat!
