Boy - leave this forum for a while and everthing changes! What a darned nuisance! But, anyway....

Tried chinese cabbage - bok choy - at ome the other day for the first time. It is frequently used by TV chefs & cooks, so I thought perhaps it was something speciasl.

Instead, I found it very bland. Pleasant texture *steamed), but little flavor as compared to cabbages, and other cole vegetables.

Am I missing something?

Oldcoot...welcome back.

Yeah, you're missing some seasoning. Bok choy or baby bok choy is usually added to a stir fry after steaming. By itself it is fairlybland, unless that is the natural type flavor you are looking for.

cook it in like a soup noodle. Very light dish.
some olung noodles. (the japanese noodles) cook them in water
Add 1 can of chicken both bring to a boil and add some choppsed up green onion. den add the bok choy and cook
you can add some wontons in it if you want.
strain noodles add the noodles to soup.
