They are closing the island to tourists April 26, for 6 months, which means a lot of the things I like will not be available since the locals don't buy them.
The deli I use will probably close for a while so I'm wondering if I can buy 3 or 4 kilos of sliced forest ham and turkey breast and freeze them in zip-lock bags.
Thanks

I would probably freeze the cold meats in portion sizes between cling wrap sheets before placing in zip locks.

Cheese. If that is a tourist type food, I would freeze some too. Cheese freezes well.

Kamusta kaibigan!

If you have a vacuum sealer, all the better, if not, zip top bags will do. (press out as much air as you can)
I do this alot for deli meats and cheeses as I can't always find the stuff we like.

Hint: buy more than you think you'll need and freeze it, it'll last quite a long time there. Be sure to date and id each bag in individual portions. I have one large freezer zip top bag containing one of deli meats and one of cheese in my deep freeze.

Let us know how it goes, will you.
