I think my IP is having issues.

If someone has the time to check, would you mind looking at your lid for me. Please?

Specifically the metal ring that the gasket is placed around.
Mine has 2 prongs that have come off. The metal ring is still in place. I just don't recall that those 2 prongs being like that.

Cooking 2 lone potatoes the other night shouldn't have taken over 45 minutes.
The gasket was brand new, just so you know.

Thank you

Munky.

Thank you Mods for clearing up the subject.
It's nice to be looked after.:chef:

No problem. When I first looked at the title I thought it may have something to do with a computer issue, such as an IP address. Thought you'd get better/more responses with a slight clarification.

I thought of that after the fact. It was too late to correct.

Not with the program today.

I think you should call the Instant Pot company a get a replacement lid. It probably isn't getting a good seal. They are pretty good about replacements. That may be why it took so long to cook.

Here is a picture of my lid with the gasket in. There are 4 legs/prongs.

See where it lays flat on the lid, like a foot?
Can you put your index finger under them?

I can do that with 2 of them.

Remember when I got it? It came with a dent in the side.

I bought my SIL one, hope she hasn't had any issues.

When I used it the other day it said the pressure was ok.
Removing the lid and looking at the new seal told me differently.
It was warped.:ermm:

Thank you for the help.
I'll see what a replacement will cost. This one might not be worth the hassle to replace the lid.

The replacement lid will cost $55+shipping.
Amazon says they are back ordered.

I'll just buy a new one.

Did you call Instant Pot directly?

https://store.instantpot.com/

Maybe they can get it to you quicker.

Sorry for the delayed answer. Here it is anyways. No. I didn't call them directly.

I did go to their site. The lids were sold out.
So we bought a new 8qt. Will save the other use it as a back up crockpot.
Repurpose a glass lid.The insert works great on the grill btw. Cleans up easy.
