Just got done with our grocery list. We'll be having shrimp and grits, South Carolina style, tonight.

And we have several meals to cook in the oven tomorrow for later in the week. That way, we'll have a couple of quick meals, and we won't have to heat the oven up but once for extended cooking times. We'll also be trying out the shiso I've been growing in 1 of the meals.

I'll roast up a pork tenderloin. Not sure of the sides yet. We finished off the salad fixings last night and I really don't want to try the store today. I might do up some alfredo noodles or maybe some corn pudding that can cook in the oven with the roast. I might steam up some broccoli too.

Hiking up to my usual campsite high above the city and spending the night, away from the family.... I'll heat up something very simple, like Trader Joe's split pea or lentile soup and I'll add some chopped weiners and extra vegis.

I bought an Anova Sous Vide cooker during Amazon's Prime Day sale this past week. I made steak a couple of days ago. Today I have a Sirloin Tip Roast that's been sitting in the water bath since 7AM. I scoured the internet for some guidance on times, but they were all over the map... everything from 8 to 24 hours. I'm just hoping it will be done in time for dinner.

I think you're going to enjoy it, Steve Kroll. My lunch today was chicken (SV'd earlier this week) puttanesca, with a side of SV'd asparagus and angel hair pasta. I was too hungry for a pic, but it was fantastic!

Hopefully I will be making the baked ziti that was postponed from earlier this week. The mushrooms I planned to add may be over the hill.

I made the kielbasa and potato recipe that bossman150 posted. It smells amazing but we are in the middle of some stuff so dinner will be later!

Very busy today. Weed-eating, mowing, bush hogging, cutting up two large pecan limbs. Canning tomatoes, Making tomato juice, and 6 jars of salsa. Washed the car, sprayed a Kieffer pear tree, went to the garden. ++++

So supper is kinda thrown together to include.

Fried Catfish
Slaw
Sweet Potato fries
A fried green tomato.....While in the garden it was just lying on the ground...what else could I do but bring it to the house. ;)
Maybe some refrigerator scraps.
Yeah, Yeah, I know. Lots of fried foods........but it's "Cheat Day":clap:and my Doctor said the other day I was the healthiest 45 year old he had ever seen.:ermm:

We brush hogged today too! Tomorrow we are gathering up scrap metal from the farm to give to my brother, he has no income until September with his cancer diagnosis. We also washed the jeep and truck, my jeep hasn't been washed since we took it out west, last September... it looks like a new vehicle!
On another note, I love love love catfish but my fiancé won't touch any seafood at all. I'm thinking I can convert him with fried catfish.

Let me know how it goes over!

I will and I can tell you it's going to go over well, I snuck a bite and it is delicious. Heck I don't even like kielbasa that much but it's good! :) I made it for the other half, he can only eat so much avacado chicken kale tomato dishes :ROFLMAO:

I made hamburger cheese dip, usually reserved for football Saturday's in the fall. To step it up we turned it into dirty nachos with sour cream, pickled jalapenos, black olives, refried beans, lettuce, onion and my favorite taco sauce (medium Ortega). It was fantastic!

Oh jeez, I could anything Mexican like any day. I'm coming over!

I'm making red beans with andouille to serve over rice. I'll pan fry a chicken breast for GD and pork chops for SO and me.

Lots to choose from...pasta salad, leftover B Q chicken thighs, ham, tuna salad, potato salad. Cooked a d prepped yesterday in anticipation of hot weather. No cooking here this weekend.
