If you google apple no-churn ice cream, or even just “apple ice cream,” you pretty much get a list of recipes for vanilla ice cream with apple pie filling swirled through it. I want apple ice cream! Some of my cookbooks from the 40s and 50s have no churn frozen desserts that are made with melted marshmallows, condensed milk, and heavy cream.
These days it would cost more to make them at home than to purchase a container of premium ice cream.
For the apple ice cream idea, I would start with a plain vanilla ice cream and create a warm apple pie topping.
Good luck!
The recipe looks great, but it’s not no-churned .Maybe something like this Apple pie ice cream ? The apples are cooked and then pureed. I've made some thing from this blog before and we liked them. Just leave out the snickerdoodles.
BTW, DD didn't go through with making the ice cream with her kids. She thought about it more and realized she really didn't want to have to clean up the mess that would more than likely be left.

I thought maybe using apple juice concentrate, undiluted, would give a nice apple flavor. What do you think?

I’d like to try it though (when I get an ice cream maker!). Thanks!
Remember that alcohol lowers the freezing point of water. Here's a seriouseats article about booze in ice cream.Another thought would be using an apple flavored liqueur or schnapps but it might come off a little boozy tasting.
