We're going to have a mini-Thanksgiving dinner. Roasted turkey breast, baked yams, Harvard beets and likely some biscuits too.

In the meantime, Salted Carmel Ice Cream is churning away...

I don't know what we are having. We are going to my sisters' house for her 75th birthday and her husband is cooking dinner. I am taking a chocolate carrot cake with cream cheese icing made with carrots still in my refrigerator from the final harvest a month ago.

I used some bland, store bought, pulled pork for supper. I used some of the sautéed garlic-onion-fresh chiles mix that I made for the Massaman curry a couple of days ago to doctor it. It only helped a bit. I served it with toasted hamburger buns, homemade coleslaw, and some Mexican salsas. It's still not a favourite, but the salsa and coleslaw really helped. No pix.

Tonight was "health food" night. Chicken fingers, TaterTots (deep fried tots are the best) and a salad.

It's too hot to cook, here in Helena. So tonight's dinner is cold, leftover meatloaf, with cold noodles, and baby carrots fresh from the fridge. I shouldn't have, but I half filled my blender with ice, added 6 tbs. Of Steven's hot cocoa mix, 2 tbs. Cocoa powder, 2 tbs. Ntella, and 1 frozen banana. I blended it until smooth. Very tasty, with enough in the pitcher for 4 servings.

Cholesterol be damned, we had a beautiful T-bone steak on the grill, done to perfection by Himself. I par-cooked potatoes and corn in the microwave, which he finished off on the grill. We'll end the night with some of the homemade ice cream - raspberry for me and strawberry for Himself. Good thing our cholesterol readings were good on our last check-ups. LOL!
