I heard I could experience nausea, leg cramps, headaches, and overall fatigue.
My doctors recommended taking lots of water and avoiding strenuous activity during the detox period. How long does the detox period even last? I dont even know where to start...
Is anyone here that could tell me their experience?
Thanks!

There is no detox period when you eliminate gluten because gluten is not a toxin.

When people start a low-carb diet, they often get dehydrated because carbs contain a lot of water - the HYDRATE part of carboHYDRATE. Dehydration can cause those symptoms, which is why it's recommended to increase your water intake.

Unless you have been diagnosed with celiac disease, or have some kind of gluten sensitivity (which is relatively rare), there's no need to eliminate gluten from your diet. Why have you decided to do this?

Here is a good article about gluten from a nutrition expert at Johns Hopkins University: What Is Gluten and What Does It Do?
I enjoyed that article. It confirmed what I already knew. There may be some confirmation bias in my liking of that article, but it is a reliable source, so the confirmation bias is fairly irrelevant.

Because every time i eat gluten, it makes me feel terrible. I need to get some tests done!

Talk to your doctor. Be sure to mention to your doctor that you have been cutting it out. If your doctor wants to test you for coeliac, then you will probably need to keep gluten in your diet for some amount of time. The coeliac test won't work properly if you have cut gluten out of your diet.
