Tonight's culinary adventure is:

Chicken and Crab Noodle Soup with Coriander Omelets

I am adding some spinach and leeks to the soup!

Mushroom and mascapone pizza with 2 types salami, Lonza, and rocket lettuce. Serving with mushroom soup.

i'm finally gonna get around to making the pork brasciole in roasted tomato sauce. i sliced and pounded out the pork scallopinis last night, but my nose was stuffed so i couldn't tell if it was still good.
if so, i'll stuff, tie, brown, and simmer them in the crock pot tonight.

Had planned on a dish using some chicken breast tenders, but it's grey, cold and windy with possible rain/snow mix later. Need comfort food today, so I'm going to put together a hearty chicken pot pie. That should fit the bill perfectly.

Today, dinner is cooking itself! A slow cooker potroast with lots of veggies. I'll serve it with a salad and the last of the homemade buns from the freezer.

I have to finish baking of 6 of my 11 dozen cupcakes and the top cake for a wedding on Saturday and get my stand and board all ready to go. So for the next couple of nights the guys are getting meals that are either crock-potable or they can do themselves!

Leftover lasagna for them. I think nothing for me because I made a giant omlette and fried 'taters for breakfast and ate late. I can't imagine I'll be hungry in 5 hours.

Steaks (broiled because it's too cold to grill), garlic bread, corn, and probably another side dish that I'll figure out later. After a not-so-good meal last night and several nights before that of me not feeling well enough to cook, I really wanted to do something I know I can do well.

Kitchen frig sort of died yesterday, kept dripping water out of the back of it somehow. DH and I went to Sears last night, and bought a new frig.
It gets delivered tomorrow so I'll start cleaning out this one today, I'll do the dump and stack method.
I was hoping to go to work early, as in tomorrow instead of Friday, but, with this new adventure, that can't happen.
I must see what's in the freezer for dinner tonight.
I'm hoping and leaning on the lighter side of pale:wacko: but we'll have to see.
Happy Wednedsay and anyone watching AI, enjoy.
I certainly did last night!

Easy Pasta Night - Greek shrimp scampi w feta & tomatoes over spinach fetucinne & salad. Time permitting, going to try a lemon-rosemary cake roll.

"And so it was that later
as the miller told his tale
that her face, at first just ghostly,
turned a whiter shade of pale"

Now, you're going to have me singing all afternoon! LOL

You mean a whiter shade of pale.

We skipped the light fandango
turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
but the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
as the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
the waiter brought a tray
And so it was that later
as the miller told his tale
that her face, at first just ghostly,
turned a whiter shade of pale
She said, 'There is no reason
and the truth is plain to see.'
But I wandered through my playing cards
and would not let her be
one of sixteen vestal virgins
who were leaving for the coast
and although my eyes were open
they might have just as well've been closed

There's a trip down memory lane. ;)

We are having lobster bisque, no didn't make it myself, it was frozen:LOL: but I am making a leek tart with sauted leeks, creme fraiche, some proscuitto, and gruyere cheese and a simple green salad with pears and toasted walnuts..dessert? some pear bread and cider later.
kadesma;)

Spagetti if the tub of sauce and sausage thaws. Something else if it doesn't.

Okay, to all of you singing Procal Harum thanks for the blast from the past that won't leave my head either! At least it got the last song out of my head that has been there since last week's "Don't forget the lyrics" - Kiss on my List!

Well, got the last cupcakes out of the oven only to have the bride call me and say there will be another 18 people coming to the wedding so that's another two dozen to go...and she wants more carrot ones (the now 13 dozen are in 6 flavours). This also means I have to make 24 more gumpaste roses to go on top. Thought I was ahead and could do some of my own baking, but back to work!

I did manage to prep an apple crisp for dessert. Think that will go good with the pot roast which is starting to smell yummy!

By the way Lefse, what DID the reference to lighter/whiter shade of pale have to do with dinner...or was it to do with your new fridge? I am always a little ditzy the days before I have to get an order out!

I'm totally lost, but that's not unusual...

Good luck with your cake LP!

I'm making the Creole Shrimp with Garlic & Lemon from the January 2008 issue of Food & Wine magazine. With some cous cous and a salad.

...............................turned a whiter.........shade of pale....................that is what I meant, thanks for clearing up my lines a bit........it was early, that's my story and I'm stickin to it:wacko:

boy, you folks are good. I didn't know anyone actually ever read these posts, but rather thought often times, they only put in their own dinner plans. I was doing the Procol Harum song, but not sure if anyone would notice it. How funny, hats off to you both who corrected me and noticed it in the first place..............NOW..........how about some fake violin strumming for my no fun/not expected purchase:(
