We're having fish tacos made with tillapia that I'll marinade in a spicy marinade (includes garlic, red pepper flakes, hot sauce, and lime juice), rice with black beans and strawberry cheesecake ice cream for dessert.

Since both DH and I have classes tonight, we're having semi-homemade pizza with a store-bought crust and sauce and yummy toppings, along with a green salad.

PA Baker, could you post your recipe for the tilapia marinade? Sounds great and DH loves fish tacos :) Thanks.

Your Tilapia marinade sounds wonderful! Tacos here too tonight!

I have a flank steak slowly simmering on the stove, when its pull-apart tender, I'll shred it and saute some onion and garlic and add it to the beef with some tomato paste for shredded beef tacos with all the fixings. Some fruit salad for dessert.

home sliced bacon and home made whole wheat bread made with home grown wheat, to make Bacon sammiches :)

Molasses-bourbon grilled salmon, tossed salad, couscous. The salmon is marinating in a mixture of brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, soy sauce, shallots, garlic, grated ginger, and Dijon mustard. It smelled heavenly when I was stirring it up.

I must be hungry cause you all sound like dinners will be a hit tonight.
Stay warm you all.....................
I have some meats that I must use up the leftovers for, beef skirt steaks, whole chicken pieces, etc. I'll make a warm and inviting stew for the man of my dreams with lots of potatoes, carrots, onions, gravy/au jou/peppers etc. Also soaking some great white northerns in water right now so I can have something soft for me with wild and brown rice on the side too.
BarbaraL sort of concerned me about beans though regarding kidney stones, oh gee yeah:ohmy:, that's just what I need, removal of more of those:(

Or I may just get on a quick flight and head^^^to Kentucky:LOL:

The salmon and tilapia both sound great! I'm practicing for Pancake Tuesday next month. We're having pancakes and homemade breakfast sausages.

flourgirl...can you post your recipe for tacos with flank steak...that sounds fantastic!!

Lefse, I feel for you with tooth pain. Hope it gets better soon. I think I better get you that gnocchi recipe today - easy to make and soft on the teeth!

I have absolutely no idea what to make tonight as I have an appointment in the afternoon in Vancouver (2 hours each way by transit) and may not even make it back in time to start dinner. It will probably be leftover ham and scalloped potatoes from Sunday.

Sure, I just posted it in the "beef" section. I don't know how to put a link here in this post, I should figure out how to do that shouldn't I? Oh well, enjoy, its a family favorite passed down to me from my mother.

I'm waiting on that recipe. My gnocchi is much like a smaller version of a cowhide football in texture:(
my girlfriend is coming up here next month, she's Italian and says she wants to drive 100 miles up here just to spend the day and make me her famous gnocchi. can't wait! meantime, yours please:LOL:

fresh free range (kinda) pork chops, sage veloute pan sauce, neeps and tatties (mashies with rutabaga...so good with lots of pepper) and peas.

simple but tasty dinner.

still waitin on the Sears repair person to show up, supposed to be here between 8-noon, so they're a little late.:( it's 3 now.
I was thinkin if they do show up and I have some room to groove in the kitchen, I have banana's/naval oranges/gala apples. Thought maybe I'd make these fruit crepes with cinnamon warm cream over them. hope I have room in the kitchen to do this as that sounds heartwarming to me on such a frizzilating day....stew smells real good, hope it tastes good too

We're having soup (Sopa de lima leftovers from last night), sandwich (grilled chicken on fresh rolls with lettuce, tomato & red onion & basil mayo) & salad (leafy green lettuce, apples, red pepper, carrots, red onion & an Asian ginger dressing) and leftover flan for dessert...yum! :)
