    Liverwurst!!!!

    Building my fav is slice of seeded rye, gulden's mustard, liverwurst, thin sliced swiss cheese, very thinly sliced onion, hellmann's mayo, slice of seeded rye, with a side of potato salad....maybe once a year, as for that day and the next I usually suffer the worst (wurst) heartburn.

    Cake not rising enough

    I never heard of beating the butter before adding sugar. And when I buy/take home my flour, I sift it before putting it away. For the stores it's been packed down so dense it needs it. Whether this is a solution for you, I can't answer definitively. Nothing appears wrong with the recipe though.

    You can use it for stock, as you said, strain it, discard after. Use can use fat (I get suet) to roast oven-browned potatoes. It adds great flavor.     Eggplant parm I had in the freezer, and tossed salad. I'm lazy here today too. I bought an apple pie earlier @ $4.49 - $2.00 on sale for dessert or , fresh apples, pears, oranges or banana. Lots of fiber - a good thing!

    Foil cooking trays

    Wrap your stuff in parchment first, then place on disposable foil, then on cookie sheet for safety. Parchment and aluminum foil are both disposable. Another thing: buy your foil pans in Dollar Store. They're just as good and a hellava lot cheaper.

    84° and muggy. It's hot for the end of November. But a cool front will/supposed to come in tomorrow to the low 70s. I can handle that!:smile:
