I'm just getting interested in cooking and its a life skill I'd like to develop further. Not looking to become a chef or anything but I want to have a good repertoire of meals I can cook for myself and friends and family. I'd also like to develop the skill of being able to seamlessly adapt recipes, or even, gasp, create them, when I don't have the right ingredients on hand.
I have a bit of a sweet tooth so my interests will also tend to lean that way but I should be responsible and make sure I'm also gaining healthy cooking knowledge to balance it out.
