    Soup recipe theory

Yes, the recipe is standard practise, but the theory is about the usage of said standard practise. Please don’t use this thread to argue about grammar, spelling or opinions please

    Soup recipe theory

The theory is that by using this ‘standard practice’ you can make any vegetable-based soup

    Soup recipe theory

This is what works for me, and it has a small ingredients list and cooks quickly. And, the honey-roasted swede works too if the swede has been roasted in honey prior to the boiling in stock.

    Soup recipe theory

I have made A LOT of soup lately. I made a post in the starter section about a Pea and Mint soup recipe because I couldn’t find the designated soup threads. But I have a theory for a soup recipe. My pea and mint soup recipe involved frying an onion then adding vegetable stock and boiling the...

    Pea & Mint Soup

You can use frozen peas too if you want

    Pea & Mint Soup

It depends. For this recipe I got it from my fresh mint plant which happens to be peppermint. I suppose either could work

    Pea & Mint Soup

This is my best pea and mint soup recipe. This recipe makes enough for three as a main course or 4-5 as starters (depending on how much you dish up) 1. Chop up an onion 2. Fry the onion 3. When onion is cooked, add a litre of vegetable stock and 650g of peas 4. Cook until peas are cooked 5. Add...

Haha, I’ve just been sitting back and watching everybody chat about their travels

    Leeky Risotto

Absolutely. The recipe I use is supposed to be easy but flavourful. I like the idea of white wine but I try to keep my recipes mostly alcohol-free

    Leeky Risotto

Here is my best risotto recipe. We call it ‘leeky’ because there is always (I mean ALWAYS) has leek in it. You can change the other things though, you can make it chicken and leek, lamb and leek, mushroom and leek. But the leek gives it a nice kick of freshness + it is a running joke in our...

From the Sea to my plate

You don’t need a fishing boat to have a good catch. That fishing trip mentioned above, was at one of my local beaches and all we did was spinning. In the 5 hours spent down there, we caught 6 bass in total. This was also my first fish lol

Scored a win at my local Goodwill store

That luck bro. Very VERY good deal I’m pretty sure the skillet I use currently (not mine, it’s another family members) was bought for £30 at a jumble/garage sale. Still a good bargain

    Botswanan recipes?

Yeah, I mean most of the culture of Southern African countries grew before the Europeans gave them borders so it is pretty randomly spread and not just in the country. So Botswanan dishes are pretty much just South African dishes

    Botswanan recipes?

I really like international cuisine, and trying new recipes. Hopefully I can go to Botswana one day, but until then, does anybody know any Botswanan dishes or recipes for me to try and cook?

From the Sea to my plate

Each side of the fish makes a fillet, so it depends on the size of the fish and portion sizes. This one fed five (being 4 large portions and a small one) In my local fish market, that fish would have been worth £40-£60. Bass is very much a delicacy in the industry

From the Sea to my plate

Hello, this is how I catch my own fish and cook it! This story is from last year but I do this whenever I catch something. 1. Catch fish I caught this 40cm long Atlantic sea bass at my secret fishing spot in Cornwall, England. (For the fishing nerds like me, I caught it by Spinning at high...

Hi I am new here. I like making more comfort food than baking. I make some of my own recipes as well as trying obscure foreign dishes!
