2023 Edition - What are you baking?

Good to know. Thank You. Bagels are one of the items on my "Never have I ever..." list. One day. Although when I buy them - I do freeze them in their original plastic sleeve, take one out at a time, zap in micro on defrost, open and toast. So basically, guess we store them (almost) the same.

2023 Edition - What are you baking?

You know pepperhead, I heard that's why it's called 'corona virus'. People who drank corona's without the lemon or lime got sick. Andy, when you make a batch of bagels, how do you store the extras?' Freeze, fridge, air tight container? And I can almost smell them from here, soooo delish looking!

2023 Edition - What are you baking?

LOL, When I buy blueberries it is with the intention of a tart, cereal, hand candy. Well some make it to the cereal but most end up being hand candy! :innocent:

Good point Chef Munky. Pills can be crushed and mixed with something like yogurt. It's not like you are only taking half and chancing missing part of the meds.

CG, just a thought, even should the doctor suggest that (as in split the pill), they may not even know if that pill is one that can be split. Doctors know what they want to give you (for whatever reason) but they also may not know the last up-to-date facts on some meds. Here, we trust our...

Sunday, March 19, 2023, what's on your plate?

I made some more rice, :), but must have grabbed the wrong bag. this time it came out a bit mushy. It was still perfect with the l/o Curried Mussels and Sweet Potato. the rest of the rice I'll look for a recipe to make Rice Pudding, something I've never done.

    Need some help!

What about a type of pavlova? Only trouble with meringues are last minute preps that are sometimes necessary. If you have enough air tight containers for the meringues themselves, it should not be too bad.

I have so many timers and alarms set - take this pill now, take out of freezer, get ready for appointment, alarms goes off and dog asks to go out, cat throws up - spill coffee across table just barely missing the computer - and poof... what alarm? oh, when did it go off? :ROFLMAO...

Actually, sometimes it IS better to start with canned or boxed. For a rank beginner as she seems to be, having success with making brownies from a box might just be enough to get her over the "OMG will this prepping never end?" An easy casserole with some rotisserie chicken/pasta/vegies all...

I think part of the point of only cutting it thru 'almost' to the bottom is to keep easier to turn several times. Freezing is more so that you can make super thin cuts, all the way thru. Don't forget, this is only cutting 1/4" spaces. IMHO Not saying of course whether or not the freezing will...

    Need help cooking dinner! lol

Should be at least 2+ hours at a low temp 300 or 325 is fine. Don't think I've ever done one with a cream soup although it sounds delish! I used to use just a beef broth, either box or with water and bouillon. I added carrots and onions, then would do separately the potatoes. This way if it...

Actually no, medtran, they don't mention frozen. Nor did I even think to do it. Just realized I didn't mention the site. It is Woks of Life. They give specific instructions and there is even a video. Grind meat by Hand I have only done the chicken. Would/will try it with pork, but I...
