    Today is my birthday

    Pasta Roller Problem

    Today, my pasta roller for the KA mixer would not stay still. What I mean is it kept turning when I ran it. I have used it many times and never had this happen. Is it possible that the dough was too stiff? This really did not make my day as I was trying to make ravioli for company.

    What Can I Do With Ancho Peppers?

    A neighbor has given me a bag of dried ancho chili peppers. I really don't know what to do with them. I do use ancho powder for chili, etc. Can I grind these peppers? I would like some other ideas, as well. Thanks so much.

    Crock Pot Dilemma

    When I make foods like pot roast, swiss steak and boneless chicken pieces, my finished products are always dry and shred. I do add the required liquid, but things seem overdone to me. What can i do to actually make a pot roast that can be sliced? I know I must be doing something wrong.
