    I used 1tsp spiced rum instead of rum extract. I might have over worked the butter & sugar. I got a phone call just before I started putting in the eggs. It lasted about 5 minutes while the mixer was on stir.

    Hey Katy! I tried the dried chick peas last night with complete success! They were YUMMY & PERFECT! I would suggest adding a little baking powder though. They were much more dense this way.

    Anyone have a good rib rub, preferably dry?

    I add red curry powder, smoked paprika, & garam marsala to the basic rub. Adds lots of depth.

    ISO-Help with Fondant - Could it Work?

    I think it is consistancy you have to watchout for. Too much liquid added will make the fondant sticky. Using a powdered flavor could make it dry & crumbly. Try just a little at a time & add more powdered sugar if it starts getting sticky?
