    Help with easy, budget meals

Dehydrated egg noodles go well with pretty much anything. Over here you can get a pack of four for like $2.00. Adding in some streaky bacon that can be cut into smaller sections works. It's probably about $0.80c per person if you're using only 1-2 slices each. Optional additions are things...

Is it really necessary to wash fruits or vegetables with detergent?

Sounds crazy, what's next? Washing with bleach? It's quite possibly a germophobe thing?

    Never Have I Ever...Made This.

Beef Wellington... I've never made it and don't have too much desire to. Sometimes I think I'm kidding myself when I think that. Maybe, maybe I want to cook it to simply know that I have. I'm sure that people can relate!

Can I use white distilled vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar

Seems like a lot of sites say it's a good substitute, but I've never done it. I think it'll depend how much you need from a flavor standpoint.

Why stainless steel cookware isn't as popular as the others?

Everyone laughs when I get excited over stainless steel cookware with a nice thick bottom. If it weren't for me my whole family would be cooking with non-stick. It seems more popular here in the UK among the people that I know. They think it's higher quality.

What have you had for breakfast lately?

English muffins, streaky bacon, and a fried egg. That's my go-to at the moment it seems. Doesn't look amazing, so no pics. Tastes good enough to keep me going back to it though :)

    Cashews

Nothing as creative as some of the above, but I'll happily put quickly fry them off a little before topping them over noodles or other Asian dishes. They do seem to combine well with mushrooms, spice, whatever. Super versatile. Would be nice if anyone else in the house ate them other than me!

Why lemon juice always recommended and not lime juice

Massively. They're not 1:1 replacements in most recipes.

What to do with corn tortillas

Love this. It might be a bit crazy for some, but I did this once and then decided to use some left over sour cream to top the chili. Have I been adding sour cream to my chili ever since? You decide.
