And with all SS optional bling, should be Health Dept acceptable. Anyone here have one or seen one in action? If so, would you recommend it...

    While making up a batch of brisket rub tonight, wind picked up & got a bunch of Chipotle powder in the eyes & up one nostril. Note to self, close window while measuring spices. :( Near as bad as a dose of tear gas.

    Resurrected Imperial Kamado

    Used parts for a Primo and a Weber, new felt seal from the hardware store and what do you know. It works. Got a brisket in both Einstein and the new-old cooker. Both holding great at 250* Einstein is the woodstand, the Imperial (circa 1960?) is to the right.

    Botulism smoked salmon and seal a meal

    I've read to kill all the bugs in pork it needs to be frozen for over a month at well below zero. But I hear folks eat raw fish all the time and don't die. Cold smoking can be tricky I hear. Feed it to Mikey :lol: More experienced opinions are sure to be forth coming.

    In Memorial

    Merlyn, our Collie passed in his sleep last night. He was 13 yrs, 1 month and 7 days old. Perhaps just a coincidence, but he died on the birthday our other dog (see Avatar) who preceeded him in death. Don't feel too much like talking just now.
