There are so many ways I love potatoes, I'm not sure I can say which way is my favorite. I love mashed, baked, fried, hash browns, scalloped, roasted, au gratin with ham, and in stews. I can't think of any way I wouldn't want to eat a potato.
We are ordering out tonight. Maybe chinese or indian. One of the things I love about New York is all the different kinds of food you can get delivered to your door.
My fiance is really excited. I like 24 but get really annoyed when I have to wait a whole week for another episode. The cliff hangers kill me.
The actress who plays Chloe use to be on a comedy show called "Mr. Show" with David Cross and Bob Odenkirk. It's interesting to see her in a comedic role.
We're having green chile stew that I made yesterday. I'm really looking forward to it, (it's usually better on the second day). Then I'm going to make some tortillas from scratch. I don't do that often but when I do, they are so delicious! I can't wait.
In New Mexico on New Year's Eve, it is traditional to eat posole. Even though I'm not going home this year, I think some of my New Mexican friends and I are going to make it here in New York anyway, for the sake of tradition.
My fiance insists on watching this movie every Christmas season. Tonight I knew I was hooked when I ran into the living room to watch the charleston dance scene.
Well Cora, as you know our Dad is coming out this weekend. I do have to work in the morning on Saturday but afterwards, we'll probably do a little Christmas shopping in Manhattan. In the evening, we're going to see Pina Baush perform.
Then a Brooklyn day on Sunday, (my favorite day!). My...
Wow, I was just talking to my Mom about this yesterday. I too have a Rival CP which boils over all the time. If I make anything in it, I feel like I have to be at home all day to keep an eye on it. It's really annoying and I just stopped using it. The reason I was talking to my Mom about it is...
I've been to Dim Sum in New York which is a huge extravaganza. We sit in a huge room with many tables and get what ever looks interesting from the carts. Maybe these place I was talking about are just tea houses that serves chinese food too. The tea house tends to draw a young crowd. I think...
That is sad to hear Ishbel. I think it's been about 5 years since my last trip to Scotland. I went with my sister, Corazon, and we had a great time. It's upsetting how things are changing like that everywhere.
I've been to Jenner's before. It's one of my favorite places to go in Edinburgh. Every time we go to Scotland since I was little, we've gone to Jenner's. I've never been to Crawfords though. Maybe on the next trip.
I've never heard of Asian "High Tea". I'm an avid tea drinker, (no coffee for me!) and often search out English afternoon tea experiences or just any interesting tea experiences for that matter. There are a few places here in New York in China town where they only serve tea and a menu of all...
Last weekend I performed with a choreographer I've been working with and we got reviewed in the New York Times!!! It's the first time I've been in the NYT and I'm so excited! YEA!!!!
I don't know what a spice cake taste like. I feel like this recipe is a little more richer in the spice department than most pumpkin breads I've tasted in the past though. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
Hey everyone,
I finally made this recipe a couple weeks ago and it was delicious! I actually had enough batter to fill 3 bread pans but I'm not sure I used a standard size bread pan. When I took the pumpkin bread out of the oven my fiance and I ate half a loaf through out an afternoon. It was...
Cora,
I don't know if this is cheating as much as it is getting back at your dh for all the times that you've left the house to run some errands and come back to find loads of clean laundry left on the couch by him for you to fold.
We are really lucky to have an indian restaurant that delivers to our door. And so many other kinds of food too, (pretty much anything we want). But living in the city does have it disadvantages. Both my fiance and I miss living in the country. Being in New York can be so challenging at times...
