1/2 inch box

Has a 1/2"inch (or any?) fireboxbox ever been known to break just below the welds after getting hot and cold and hot and cold and so on etc? Thanks for your help. db

I cant take a pic because im not having the problem however a good friend of mine said it could be a potential problem with the thicker steel. Ive asked the same question at the smoke ring" website and so far nobody has had the problem. Maybe a bad weld would cause it or cheap steal is what ive found out so far. Thanks for your help. db
