2025 - What have you had for lunch/brunch?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
View attachment 72474 @msmofat I've had a few shells lying around. Don't know why, couldn't throw them out.
Is that like making clams casino? which I still have not made. Would you share? I usually save the stems to add to things.
Here you go Dragn. Enjoy. I have a few other “stuffed” clam recipes somewhere.

Sunday Brunch 19 Jan 25 - Fritatta with diced potato (of course), diced ham, diced tomato, pepperoncini, and mozzarella chesse; buttermilk biscuits; orange slices and, because I have no more bubbly, a red wine spritzer.

Lunch salad - mixed baby greens, tuna (in water), black olives, tomato, shredded cheddar. Dressing - olive oil, red wine vinegar, honey, ketchup, salt, ground pepper, and my all-purpose blend seasoning.

1. Its perfectly fine to wash mushrooms in water

2. Msmofet those clams look DELICIOUS! Unfortunately, despite the fact that she started digging clams in front of her house when she was 5, my wife hates clams. And Oysters, too, sadly. So I usually dont make them. Yours might be a party exception.

3. I eat one of 4 things for lunch: soup; sandwich;salad;leftovers. Today I ate a turkey pastrami/swiss sandwich and chips in the car as I drove back to Boston.

4. For me, brunch almost always means eating out. I love that but dont do it that often anymore.

Sunday 2 Feb Brunch: The Vietnamese market next door is carrying more Pilipino food, so I made a brunch of scrambled eggs, spam, longganisa de chile, lumpia shanghai with sweet chili dipping sauce, brown rice, pandesal and mimosas.

Wednesday I went to the Danish Club Luncheon with a friend. The menu was:

And the leverpostej, Danish style liver pâté, which I forgot to have any of. :( It looked really good.

I also won a small box of really delicious chocolates. I had two and shared the other four with people seated nearby.

WOW! @taxlady - that looks fantastically delicious. How could you forget the leverpostej. It looks like the star of the show!
I'm just a wee tad envious.
I was enjoying myself too much. Eating slowly while gabbing and repeatedly replying "skål" with akvavit and Tuborg beer. They cleared it away and brought the yummy dessert and coffee. I didn't notice that I never got any leverpostej until I got home and looked at my photos.

I need to join you for lunch. That looks fantastic.
If either of you is ever going to be in Montreal on the 2nd Wednesday of the month (except November, when we have the annual general assembly luncheon, which is usually members only) let me know a week ahead of time and I'll arrange to have you as a guest. A week or more ahead of time would be good.
