Cold, over cast and snow showers ....... aka miserable!

It's supposed to warm up to 32 F today, which will break (maybe) a 9-day streak where we haven't been above freezing.

It hasn't been up to freezing here since January 15.

Same temps as yesterday, twenties.
But a little snow and overcast, so it feels a lot colder.
Not much wind though. And that's nice.

It is currently sunny and 64F here at 3:30 PM.

It's really warming up here. We know it's temporary. It will be deep freeze again this weekend. But, for now, -4°C (25°F) with wind chill, -7°C (19°F)

In spite of the temp reaching 40ish F, it was cloudy and slightly breezy, which made it feel even colder. Was supposed to have light rain this afternoon, but all that happened was enough to spit on the windshield of our truck. Didn't really need the wipers. However, about 2:30 or so this afternoon, it began to get foggy. Not just a little, a LOT. Our driveway is about 300 feet long and we couldn't see to the end of it from the house. Driving home from the grocery store was dangerous because the visibility was next to nothing and, go figure, many drivers didn't have any lights on of any sort. Pretty rough when everything in the environment was dark/cloudy and the roads were wet and, in some places, icy.

We were happy to be home.

days are mostly hot lately.

It was only up to around 55F today, but 68F tomorrow, and 79F on Friday. It's looking pretty warm for the next ten days.

Much the same as yesterday, maybe a degree or two cooler. Lots of sunshine. Expecting snow on the weekend.

Great temp's! A heat wave today. It's supposed to get up to 40*F in SE South Dakota.

It was sunny and 71F today.

Tomorrow looks good, too (I'm between Denton and McKinney).

I wish my area would get the normal winter thaw.
Just a few days of warm temps would be nice.

68F and clear, sunrise in 2 hours.

We used to have a 'normal' winter with cold and snow up to mid/end of January. Then there would be a big melt for heat wave of a week and a bit, after which "kaboom" there would be snow and a deep freeze.

Haven't had that kind of weather in some time though.

Single digits starting tonight for a couple days, then next week maybe up to 30F. That will be nice.

We used to have brutal lightning and thunder storms.
Have not seen anything near that in many decades.
Since I was a kid.

It got up to 79F today. I sat outside and soaked up some sun.

Snowing now and likely to continue into tomorrow. Have no idea how much we'll accumulate. They like to keep us guessing.
