With a heat wave gripping a good portion of the country, National Ice Cream Day couldn't have come at a more appropriate time.

Dinner will be cheeseburgers on the grill, with a pasta salad on the side. I made the pasta salad on Friday, before we closed the house and turned on the AC.

National Ice Cream Day!!
We have a little Mexican Ice Cream shop here with the most amazing assortment of delectable flavors I've never heard of before, such as Almond Tequila and Pine Nut ice creams. It's a cute little place that does a good business.

We had an ordinary Domino's Pizza for dinner, but the main event will be later with Peach/Almond cobbler with Almond Tequila ice cream!! Ohhhh yeahhhh!!

Last night DD#2 and I had dinner at midnight! It was 80F in my house WITH the a/c on.

We had stove top grilled strip steak, mashed taters (DD wanted instant, which are ok on a hot day just microwave) and gravy. No pictures I was half asleep LOL

Hope it rains soon. We got rain & about 4 thunder bolts last night for about 10 minutes. Not as hot but really humid.
