Fixed it.
I had the crumb tray in upside down.
:dizzy:

I noticed it in a picture.
I installed the tray so the outside lip was turned UP. It made sense at the time. Thinking that the outside lip needs to be up to contain spills. Like a sheet pan. Like my old toaster oven.

But after closer inspection, the center of the tray on the opposite side has a depression. The depression holds any liquids. And also, that design would be much easier to keep clean. Shallow curves without sharp edges.

Well, my day is complete.
Now what am I going to do?
LOL Cook something.
You got that!
I was just saying I need to get some regular sliced white bread today so I can see how it does.
Don't forget the eggs and milk.

Bisquick... make some quick biscuits to have for elevenses'. Lots of butter and some of that cherry jam.
Now I want some homemade biscuits.

Now that I think of it, I do have some pop-up cinnamon swirls...

I discovered that cinnamon bread is a thing to eat with chili in part of the USA. And I tried it and it isn't bad.
I couldn't find those cheap plastic trays of them gas stations typically have, so I bought a tube of them.

Not sure I’d eat with chili.

Soon as it gets cool I will dig out my bread machine.
Cinnamon buns are at the top of my list.
Then sausage bread and cherry cheese danish.

It might surprise you.
I don't think it will replace cornbread, but it definitely adds something. It's like it gets your mouth ready for another bite.

I never understood people dipping McD's fries in a vanilla shake, either.

That's a new one to me.
But since I'll only drink their chocolate shakes, I may never know what I'm missing ;)

Dipping McDonald's fries in a vanilla shake is a popular and well-liked practice, enjoyed by many for the contrasting sweet, salty, and creamy flavors, as well as the hot and cold temperatures. The combination activates sugar and salt receptors on the taste buds, enhancing the experience. While not a healthy choice, it's considered a delightful indulgence by those who appreciate the unique combination of flavors and textures.

Why People Enjoy It

  • Flavor Contrast: The salty, savory taste of the fries pairs well with the sweet flavor of the vanilla shake, creating a delightful contrast.

  • Texture Contrast: The crispy, hot fries are a pleasing contrast to the smooth, cold milkshake.

  • Scientific Explanation: Sugar receptors on the taste buds can enhance the perception of saltiness, making the combination more palatable and craveable.

  • Cultural Trend: The practice has become a viral trend on social media platforms like TikTok and Lemon 8, with many sharing their experiences and encouraging others to try it.

  • Personal Preference: Many people simply enjoy the unique combination, with some having a long-standing tradition of dipping their fries in milkshakes from a young age.
How It's Done
  1. Order McDonald's French fries.
  2. Order a McDonald's vanilla milkshake.
  3. Dip the fries into the milkshake before eating them.

Don't think I would have done that even when pregnant (twice). LOL

I have never-ever rested anything on the door of an oven. Large or small oven. All too often they have a slight tilt to them, usually towards me!

Here ya go.
I used it for roasting some asparagus tonight.
I dragged the tray out with a silicon pad and let the tray rest on the open door so I could transfer the spears to a plate using tongs.

Action shot.

Sure. I could have set the baking tray on something... but it's out of the way on the open door.

I pull the rack towards me. It doesn't come out as far as your tray does, but it's usually good enough.
