I bought some polenta/grits, not limed from Azure Standard. The smell is fantastic, fresh corn smell. I've used it for corn bread and for polenta, for me. Mr bliss grew up with commodities in mid-WI and it just reminds him of a time when the kids didn't have enough, so he won't eat it. I don't know if they included it in the commodities or it was just available for cheap at the grocery store. Now I use it when I make pizza with a ww crust, dusting the top and bottom with the corn meal. That is something we both like a lot, for the texture.

If I'm cooking for myself, or DS wants to join me, then we might have corn bread with spicy peppers in it. When we vacationed in Georgia, I ordered grits. It was fine, a starch, a comfort food.
