Bacon and Swiss Waffles

Dust off the old waffle iron for an exciting new waffle taste! Bacon and Swiss cheese bake rich flavor into each bite.

Total: 13 min
Prep: 5 min
Bake: 8 min
(Total time will vary; cook or bake time is per batch.)

Makes 10 squares (4 inches each)



2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon

Double recipe or Halve recipe (Learn more about scaling recipes)

1. Heat waffle iron; grease with cooking spray, vegetable oil or shortening.

2. Stir Bisquick, milk and eggs in large bowl until blended. Stir in cheese and bacon. Pour onto center of hot waffle iron. Close lid of waffle iron.

3. Bake until steaming stops and waffle is golden brown. Carefully remove waffle.

I'm NOT a waffle fan, but this recipe sounds wonderful! I can't imagine putting syrup on these waffles, but I think a poached egg would be delicious on top. How would you serve these savory waffles?
