Hi,

I am an amateur cook, and I've unsuccessfully tried frying meats with BBQ sauce in the past. The BBQ sauce ends up burning (or something), and the flavor completely changes.

So I'm wondering if it would be acceptable to brown some ground chicken, then let it marinate in a slow cooker for a few hours. Would this work? Should I add some water? I could just try it out, but I don't want to waste perfectly good food.

Thanks!

When you put BBQ sauce on anything you need to do it at the very end. Otherwise it burns and gets nasty. I think your slowcooker idea would work, toss some mushrooms and stuff in there too...yummy.
