A repeat from last year yet again, but a Pretty good show. Any one see it?
They went Char Broil to see how they make grills.
They went to see the 100 x 18 foot pit "Undisputible Cuz" made by Bud Liffick. ...1200 slabs of ribs. Mmmmmmmm Ribs.
They headed out to the Pig Stand in Tx which started the "drive in", and claimed to invent the onion ring, and Texas toast.
They went to the Cattlemans factory. ... eh, nothing special there.
They went to http://bbqsauceofthemonth.com where...guess what they do.
They went to Weber ... very cool. even went to the Weberville resaurant where they have the huge Ranch kettles and they go through 800 pounds of Kingsford a day.
They went to Kingsford to see how they make char.
THEN then went down to see David Klose to see his operation. He said "It's not safe to put anything metal close to a welder. If you park your car here, it's going to end up being a bbq pit before you know it."
They talked about Stubbs rub developed by Paul Prudomme
They wnet to Sticky Fingers. which does mailorder ribs to anywhere.
and finally, they explained Heinz 57.

Dam cool.

Wow Scotty, nice brief! I didn't know Paul Prudome made Stubbs Rubs?? Did he do the sauces as well?

Did you know that "undisputable cuz" the worlds largest mobile pit
was made by Dave Klose?

Did anyone catch A Cooks Tour a couple of nights ago. Another BBQ repeat
but watching Tony Bourdain interview Dave Klose was a "Klassic". First time I'd ever seen Dave K cook on a show before. Tony was impressed but at a loss for words trying to decipher the Klosisms.

I haven't seen that one, yet. Have you ever heard Dave talk about the encounter? He had a blast (as usual).

TL

No I haven't TL but if have talked to Dave a couple of times so I can almost imagine the conversation (if there is such a thing with Dave K, kind of hard to get a word in once he's on a roll.

First time though I ever saw Dave with his hat off. Now I know why he wears it all the time! LOL!
