I went to the Colombo International Book Fair, an annual event held at the BMICH. Here's a few photos from it.

BMICH, built between 1970 and 1973 by the Chinese government as a gift to the then Prime Minister. Book fair was not in this building, it was in the premises behind. This main building has I guess 5 stories, consisting a theatre, conference halls, exhibition halls, museum, and a few other things.

Anyway admins please feel free to delete the thread if it's consuming too much space.

I went in the morning, so it wasn't crowded. Anyway you need at least one full day to tour the whole book fair. So I couldn't do much in the 3 hours I spent there.

Oh WOW! Thank you so much for those pics! Love it. Very impressive.
I ashamed to say I'm glad I'm not there. I would need a wheelbarrow X 3, to cart out all the books I would pick up.
