Hello!
My wife is a cake decorator. I have been thinking about inventing a cake decorating machine. I would love feedback from anyone who decorates cakes as a hobby. My idea is to create a motorized cake turntable. I have built a working prototype and my wife has enjoyed using it. There is sort of another product out there, but we want to do something with a number of features.

• We want to add a foot pedal to control the speed, like a sewing machines. This way you can turn the cake hands free. My wife says her hands don't get messy at all with this.
• The machine needs a free spin mode. When my wife puts the icing on, she dislikes having the motor attached.
• The machine will be fairly slow - she likes being able to control the speed well
• I like the idea of a faster mode - at the end of the decorating process smoothing the edges a little faster left a really awesome edge.
• We want it to be beautiful and relatively small.

Would this be appealing to you? Would you use it? Would you like it?

I'm wondering if we should develop this machine. I have had concept drawings done and attached them.

Appreciate any feedback :)

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't know for sure.

I wonder if there is a 3D printer for cake decorating?

I have seen a video of a 3D printer for cake decorating. I checked with DuckDuckGo and found this nifty add on to a 3D printer, that you might already have.
